Meet "Spot". He arrived July 14, 2016 from an urgent situation. He's about 7 months old and is a Kunekune/mulefoot cross, aka "pasture pig". His coloring comes from the Kunekune. He has "mule" feet, where the toes are fused, so there is a mulefoot hog in there somewhere. Before his rescue he was apparently attacked by coyotes or dogs and carries a few scars, including a shortened tail, likely lost to a bite (or possible docked by a farmer). Though very loved in the home he came from, he's a master of escape and needed a new home where he would be safely contained and make some pig friends. I originally planned to leave him on the trailer for his first night and settle him in the next morning but time allowed that to be accomplished ahead of schedule. Spot moved in with Bugsy and things went very smoothly. Bugsy has never had a pig friend and this may be a good combination. Bugs arrived just a few days ahead of Spot and wasn't protective of his new territory yet. Spot was young enough to not be pushy and was faster than Bugsy should he irritate him too much. Any discussons over who would be the top hog were very short.
