CAMP SKIPPING PIG  SANCTUARY

  Lia was used in a burn study. One of eight pigs in the program, she was fortunate to capture the attention of a young woman and was rescued...allowed to leave. The other seven study pigs were destroyed on the last day of the study. Lia arrived at the end of December 2011. On her back were over 25 burn scars and before she left the facility, a punch biopsy was done on each scar, leaving a hole about 1/2" deep and 1/2" in diameter.
