Kalai's babies

The babies have grown well over the summer and have been able to mingle freely with most of the other pigs, dashing from lot to lot with little regard to fencing. A 300' barrier of chicken wire, installed around the perimeter of the Red Boar's pen, was useful for their first and second weeks only. Then it was pulled loose and their wandering began. They were able to easily slip through the cattle panels and when that failed  burrowing under wasn't a problem for them. They have badgered the easily intimidated and been disciplined by the bolder, have chased and been chastened by the cat, and introduced themselves to Jasper the Bull...all 2600 pounds of him. As a trio, they are formidable, and their nickname as a group is "the Russian Mafia".

Physically they share traits of both the Red Russian Wild Boars and their Kunekune father. They are stockier built than the red boars and their faces a little shorter and blockier, but their legs are long and their striped baby coats can be credited to their wild heritage (though on occaision a Kunekune will be born with stripes). They are as affectionate as can be and are quick to respond when called. It will be interesting to see how they develop physically as they mature. Their adult coloring is still an unknown, though it appears that Vincent will keep his light undercarriage. Aspen has countless white hairs coming in on her body, like a roan horse, and Eiswald has a darker face and a blacker mane with fewer white hairs.
