Liberty arrived November 18, 2001, a small spayed little girl about 3 months old. She was adopted by friends who live nearby to keep their first potbelly, "Daisy", company. The arrangement worked well until Daisy had to be euthanized due to severe arthritis. The family was becoming interested in adopting some large dogs and didn't want Lib to be without a pig compamion so she was returned to Camp Skipping Pig in September of 2005. Libby is a sweet, gentle pig who generally gets along well with others. Her terrible feet are going to be her downfall. They curl and don't wear properly. Her right front leg turns out at almost a right angle and she's destined to develop arthritis, which likely will shorten her life. No amount of trimming has corrected her misshapen feet and she's a frustrating case. I try to keep them trimmed in what would be a "normal" fashion for her, but it's an endless task and she's very uncooperative.
